Choosing Rings for your LGBTQ Wedding

Everyone can get married! Now It’s time to plan that wedding. We’ve been planning this blog topic for publication today for some time, so it is suiting that on Friday, June 26th the U.S. Supreme Court ruled by a 5 to 4 vote to legalize Same-Sex Marriage. As stated in the past, Liza Shtromberg Jewelry is a long time supporter of equal marriage rights and it shows because so many of our clients are from the LGBTQ community.

So now what? Well, at LS Jewelry we want to make your experience as easy as possible. After all there are many challenges the LGBTQ community has faced and still has to overcome. We want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and simple as possible. So we help you break it down to some of the basics:

The First Step

Set a budget and stick to it! At Liza Shtromberg Jewelry we make it our goal to create wedding rings whether they are pre-designed or custom design for every budget level. We are committed to helping you stick to your budget 100%.

The Style

Some basic questions to ask yourself: do we want matching rings or complimentary styles? We can help you make these decisions in-store or you can check out your options online on your own time.

The Metal

There are many pre-designed options available, but for every pre-designed wedding ring, they can be custom made in 14K white or yellow gold, 18K white or yellow gold, or in platinum. We can even do sterling silver! With so many options, you can choose to do a combination or matching metals. You can be as traditional or as unique as want!

The Stone
If you choose to include stones or a single stone on your wedding bands, it can be a diamond, but it does not have to be. Gemstones such as Sapphires and Emeralds are increasingly becoming popular. If you are more of a traditionalist, consider pavé diamonds or chocolate diamonds. They can be just as beautiful as the traditional wedding ring but with a twist.

Going Green

At LS Jewelry we are determined to be environmentally friendly. All our stones and metals are sourced from conflict-free zones or recycled. But what we love the most, is when our clients bring in their own pieces that have been handed down in their family. We love re-working the old into something new and the best part, the memory of your family can live on in your piece.

Finally

Give yourself some time to make these decisions. Come in and chat with Liza but don’t be set on having everything decided the first time around. Check out our ring styles and try them on. You will be amazed what you can find out by spending a little time just playing around with jewelry!
